In 2017 over 60 billion cups of tea were drunk in the UK alone, making tea the nations’ favourite beverage. With interest in the huge variety of teas growing rapidly amongst younger consumers, tea has never been cooler.
Taking place at The Roundhouse, Derby on Sunday 21st October 2018, The Great British Tea Festival brings together independent tea brands from across the country for an event which celebrates all things tea, from tasting some of the world’s most delicious teas to listening to presentations from some of the world’s leading tea experts.
The event is an activity-packed, family-friendly day with fun for all – attendees will get to join in tea tastings, try and buy, meet some of the leading experts from the world of tea and even have your photo taken, whilst having tea with the Queen!
Featuring a classic tea room provided by Elements, the artisan tea and coffee house who are launching their wonderful tea and coffee house at the end of September in Derby City Centre, and music from the MAKK string quartet, The Great British Tea Festival is the perfect opportunity to relax, sip and experience the world of tea, all in the beautiful surroundings of the Derby Roundhouse – the perfect day out for the whole family.
